Quality Equipment Professionally Maintained Before Every Rental

Policies

All renters must be 18 years of age or older with a valid Maine driver's license/state ID.  A major credit card or debit card in the renter's name and affilliated with a local bank is required to rent.  We do not accept cash, checks or any form of pre-paid cards. All rental charges are to be paid in full prior to the start of the rental.  Rent starts when the equipment leaves our yard and ends when it is returned or called off rent.  The terms and conditions that are contained in our standard rental agreement shall govern.  Notify Handyman immediately if equipment does not function properly or no refund or allowance will be made.

Reservations are accepted and recommended. All rentals are subject to equipment availability. (Due to the nature of our business, we cannot control the timely return or damage caused to our rental equipment by prior customers.)   When renting some equipment, we may require an insurance binder or security deposit to be held on file during the rental period to cover any unexpected loss or damage to the rental equipment. A 10% accidental damage waiver plan charge is quoted and included on all rentals. This plan is optional, but will be included on your Rental Contract unless you specifically decline it when the contract is written. Damage waiver coverage is not insurance. Additional deposits may be required for fuel and cleaning.

Rental rates are based on an 8 hour workday, 40 hour work week or 160 hour 4 week period. Double shift operations will result in charges of 1.5 times the rate. Triple shift operations will result in charges of 2 times the rate.

Rental charges are computed for both time out and time used.  This means metered time on a machine or allowable usage per rental period, We charge for all usage hours and all time out, including Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Friday rentals are due back by close.(see chart below)..
